hello there tech enthusiasts!
i am about to begin an incredible adventure of starting a tech club at my college. before we jump into it, let me take you through the steps i have in mind for the next six months. trust me, it is going to be one heck of a ride!
step 1: finding my team
first things first, i cannot do this alone. i have gathered a few friends who share my passion for tech. the best part? they all come from all walks of life — some are programmers, others are designers, and some are just starting out. the more, the merrier!
step 2: mission control
you might ask, what is this tech club about? well, it could be robotics, could consist of coding workshops, or also maybe building apps to solve our day-to-day problems…
step 3: blast off!
time to spread the word out! posters, social media banners, letting everyone know that our tech club exists is the name of the game.
step 4: home base
next, we need a perfect spot to meet, build, and hack. it could be a classroom, a corner in the library, or the canteen (although we might want to avoid the messy ones xd).
step 5: fuel up!
resources, resources, resources! we’re talking funding for materials, tech resources, or maybe some food (snacks are crucial, you know…). i have been talking with the faculty, the council, some local businesses, and other clubs to get the support we need.
step 6: launch party!
it is time to organize a kick-off event! it could be a workshop, demo, or anything to show the awesomeness of our club! we are going all out to attract more members and hire more students for our team!
and now… the next level…
workshops
these could consist of literally anything! from coding to 3d-printing, literally anything!
hackathons
these can be conducted to challenge our club members to solve real-world problems with technology!
competitions
skills can be put to the test here! — robotics competitions, app development contests, web development competitions, you name it!
documenting our journey is a must! we are sharing our progress, challenges, and successes online — a great way to attract even more members and inspire others to build their own tech clubs!
good luck to all you future tech leaders out there! the world is waiting for your inventions, and i cannot wait to see what we can create together!
